Leg Box

Jim and Trina, as Knock on Wood, create beautiful jewelry boxes at their studio in upstate New York. Jim graduated with a BA in history from the University of Buffalo in 1971. His first love, however, was woodworking, which lead to his profession as a cabinetmaker. Trina graduated with an MFA in Painting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1974. She designs with an emphasis on timeless, sophisticated lines and highly functional interiors.
Together they create jewelry boxes at the highest level of craftsmanship. The rich depth and smoothness of the wood grain is achieved by extremely fine sanding and a traditional hand-rubbed oil and varnish finish. These boxes will retain their beauty for generations to come.
