Lumi is a quality designer brand rooted in New York with European touches.

Founded in 1999 by Sanna Kantola and Bruno Beaugrand, they design Fashion Accessories, Handbags, Hats, Gloves, and Small Leather Goods under the brand name Lumi.

Lumi means snow in Finnish and the first snow-white Lumi products made in felt were produced in North Finland. Based on the traditional Scandinavian cloche shape and felt material, the felt hats and bags quickly took off among the design-conscious boutiques of Nolita and Soho in New York, warming up in the chilly Big Apple Winter. The avant-garde products were also quickly seducing the fashion and quality conscious clients in Japan and Asia.

With innovation, newness, harmonious colors, quality materials and beautiful craftsmanship on top of the list, the Lumi main target remains functionality and practicality throughout the line. Lumi products are made of quality materials, leather in soft cow Napa, natural full grain cow,
oil-burnished and vegetable -tanned cow and buttery soft sheep, wool felt, mohair, cotton canvas, printed cottons. Natural materials are preferred, and used in the most environmental way.
