Welcome
to Show of Hands Gallery
- a
gallery in Denver, Colorado, where arts and crafts people from all
around the U.S. and Canada display their creativity. This
year Show of Hands celebrates 27
years of business in the Denver Community.
The Gallery
started 26 years ago in a small store located on the corner of Third
and Columbine in the Cherry Creek North shopping district. 16
artists from a variety of backgrounds decided to spice up the
art community in Denver and developed the idea for this gallery.
At a 2:00 AM
debate over the name of their
new venture, Show of Hands was conceived in 1983. The gallery moved
another time before finding it's home at 210 Clayton Street.
Today the gallery is located
in Cherry Creek North at the busy intersection of 2nd Avenue and Clayton
Street. We have been at this location where we represent 200 plus artists
and craftspeople. Our goal has been to provide a variety of unique,
handmade items in a broad range of styles and colors so that no matter
what your budget or taste, you will find that gift for that special
someone. (maybe yourself?) The staff that we maintain consists of a
few of the artists in our gallery and many other funky, creative, and
marginally dysfunctional people. Our gallery also provides a happy place
for customers to rest their eyes on hand created art work that will
fill your soul and many times put a smile on your face.
We are continuously adding
new artists and items to the store and the web site, so check back often.
We want you to keep visiting our gallery and web site so your comments,
ideas, and suggestions are always welcomed.
